So you have some images either from a camera or off the web and you need them changed to a 35mm (1:50) aspect ratio. Unless you already have Photoshop aspect ratio display 35mm already configured Photoshop will not
do this right out of the box. But don't worry creating 35mm images with Photoshop is easier then you think.
First, you should start by opening the image you want to edit in Photoshop. This can be done by either opening Photoshop, mousing over the File Menu, then Open and browsing to the image you want or by right clicking the image you wish to
change to display aspect ratio 35mm and choose to open with Photoshop.
Second, now that your image is open in Photoshop you have two choices for making the image a 35mm aspect ratio. The first way is to simply click on the Image Menu up top and selecting Image Size from the menu. This will give you a pop up box where
you can enter in the new dimensions for your image. Remember a 35mm aspect ratio is 1:50 meaning the image will be half as wide as it is tall (100x200, 300x600 ect.). While this method works it may cause the image to stretch and become distorted.
The second option for changing your image in Photoshop to a 35mm aspect ratio is to crop the image to as close to a 1:50 ratio as possible then resize it to your liking. To do this select the crop tool from the tools mene on the left (it looks kind of like a diamond with a line through it).
Now move your mouse over your image and click and hold on the mouse where you would like to start then drag the mouse across the image to select the area you wish to crop. Remember you are trying to crop the image as close to a 35mm aspect ratio as possible. Once you have your area selected release the mouse button and
you will now have a highlighted area showing what will be left of the image, if it looks ok then double click your mouse in the area and Photoshop will crop the image. To ensure you have a 35mm image use the first method to fine to your images dimensions.
Now you have created a Photoshop aspect ratio display 35mm image all that is left to do is save the image to your PC and print it out or save it to disk to have your 35mm images printed later.
